A simple guide to Scrum was created by Tobias Mayer and Bob Hartman, with advice, suggestions and guidance from colleagues in the professional Scrum community. Originally released on 21 March 2025, the current version is the second update to include minor edits reflecting community feedback. The differences can be viewed here: v1.1 and v1.2.
A simple guide to Scrum is a shortened, edited version of the official Scrum Guide, by Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland, which remains the source of truth for Scrum. This document summarises and rearranges the content, but neither adds any new elements, nor removes anything essential.
