Description

Phase 1 of the Scrum Master Journey consists of a 2-day certified scrum master (CSM) workshop, either in-person or online. Optionally, the student should study the Scrum Guide and validate for themselves they have understood the CSM learning objectives.

Phase 1 Requirements

The Scrum Master Journey is open to anyone. The only requirement is to attend with an open mind and an open heart and be willing to learn a new approach to managing work.

The following books and articles can be read before (†) or after (‡) taking the CSM. The more you engage the richer will be your experience. This reading is required if you wish to progress to phase 2 of the Scrum Master Journey, otherwise it is optional, but still recommended.
